Job summary

The Christian Post is seeking a talented Social Media Video Editor to transform raw footage and existing content into platform-specific videos for YouTube, Instagram, X, TikTok, and more. You will be a key creative voice in how The Christian Post engages audiences visually.

This full-time role combines editorial instinct, design sensibility, and technical mastery. The ideal candidate understands storytelling and social media algorithms, driven by a mission to report truth through a Biblical lens.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional video editing with short-form content.
• Proficiency in Premiere Pro and After Effects.
• Strong understanding of platform formats and best practices.
• Ability to design motion graphics and captions.
• Experience in newsroom or faith-based org is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into engaging short-form videos for TikTok, Reels, Shorts, and YouTube.
• Optimize aspect ratios, pacing, and lengths for each platform.
• Add audio, music, and voiceovers to maximize reach.
• Create on-screen captions, lower thirds, and motion graphics.
• Collaborate with editors and marketing to align video with campaigns.
• Maintain organized media library and meet tight deadlines.
