Job summary

Equitas Academy in Los Angeles is seeking a dedicated Social Studies Teacher to deliver rigorous instruction aligned with our curriculum and to engage scholars in meaningful learning that prepares them for college and beyond.

You will communicate with families, participate in weekly professional development, and contribute to a warm, equitable school culture with strong community ties, including attendance at IEP/504 meetings as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Current Single Subject Social Studies credential (or out-of-state equivalent) required.
• English Learner authorization required.
• Experience with students in low-income communities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead rigorous social studies instruction using our aligned curriculum.
• Deliver prepared instructional materials and assessments.
• Communicate and collaborate with families regarding student progress and behavior.
• Participate in weekly professional development and school initiatives.
• Attend IEP, SST, and 504 meetings as scheduled.
