SciTech Academy is seeking a Middle School Social Studies Teacher for grades 6–8 (1.0 FTE) for the 2025-26 school year at SciTech Academy Charter School, Richfield, MN. https://scitechacademymn.org/

Responsibilities

1. Plan, prepare, and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning.
2. Develop schemes of work, lesson plans, and tests in accordance with established procedures.
3. Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment.
4. Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction.
5. Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures.
6. Encourage and monitor the progress of individual students and use the information to adjust teaching strategies.
7. Participate in department, school, district, and parent meetings.
8. Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues, and parents regarding student progress and student needs.
9. Assign and grade class work, homework, tests, and assignments.
10. Participate in professional development and school-wide activities, meetings, and student clubs/organizations as directed.
11. Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• B.A./B.S. degree in teaching from an accredited institution or related field of teaching.
• Minnesota State certification in teaching in appropriate subject area 5–8 or equivalent.
• Meet professional teacher education requirements of school, district, and state.
