Job summary

Jefferson County Public Schools seeks an Instructional Lead (Social Studies) for the Enhanced Support Zone for the 2026-2027 school year. The role is a District Instructional Coach focusing on social studies, supporting teachers district-wide and facilitating PLC collaboration.

Minimum qualifications include KY teaching certification, a Master’s degree in the assigned curricular area, and at least three years of teaching experience with a strong emphasis on equity and culturally responsive

Qualifications

• KY Teacher certification
• Master's Degree or higher with area of major in the assigned curricular area
• Three (3) years of successful experience as a teacher
• Knowledge of standards in assigned curricular area
• Expertise in equity, inclusion and culturally responsive education

Responsibilities

• Supports fellow teachers in assigned curricular area.
• Supports PLCs or other collegial learning groups to implement learning strategies in assigned content area(s).
• Provides peer coaching, sharing pedagogical insights, and instructional strategies in the classroom.
