Job summary

Vanwerted seeks a Social Services Worker 2 in Ohio to join the Children Services department. The role is full-time or part-time with core hours 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., and periodic on-call duties.

Starting pay is $18.50 per hour, with rate commensurate with prior experience in the child protective services field. You will work with families, manage caseloads, conduct field interviews, and cooperate with law enforcement and attorneys.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in human services-related studies or an associate’s degree in a human services-related field, with progress toward a bachelor’s degree.
• Bachelor’s degree in any field and at least two years in a human services occupation.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with families to promote child safety.
• Manage a complex caseload in a fast-paced environment.
• Conduct field interviews, gather information, and perform routine home visits.
• Cooperate with law enforcement officials, attorneys, and prosecutors.
• Provide testimony at court hearings/trials periodically.
• Serve as on-call worker assigned to handle emergencies after hours.

Base Pay: Starting rate of pay is $18.50 per hour. If previous experience working in child protective service field, rate of pay will be commensurate with experience.

Work Hours: This is a full-time or part-time position. Core agency hours are Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Periodic on-call required.

• Valid driver’s license.
