Job summary

Ramsey County is seeking a Social Services Deputy Director (Unclassified) to lead Continuous Quality Improvement within the Children and Family Services Division. As a member of the department’s executive leadership team, this position oversees quality assurance, workforce development, statutory compliance, and system-wide improvements to strengthen child welfare and family services.

The role requires a Master’s degree and seven years of progressively responsible experience in social services

Qualifications

• Seven years of progressively responsible experience in social services supervision, program management, or administration.

Responsibilities

• Lead continuous quality improvement initiatives across Children and Family Services.

• Direct division operations, manage resources, and evaluate program effectiveness.
• Represent the department with elected officials, community organizations, and the public.
• Support long‑term organizational planning, legislative implementation, and service improvements.
