Job summary

The Adams County Children and Youth Agency is seeking a Social Service Aide to support youth transitioning toward adulthood. The role includes hands-on support, transportation services, life-skills instruction, and administrative coordination to help youth access Independent Living goals.

Normal hours are Monday–Friday, 8am–4:30pm, with a 1/2 hour unpaid lunch. It is a full-time, 40 hrs/week, benefit-eligible position. Minimum qualification is a High School diploma or GED.

• Ability to assist with transportation and life-skills instruction and administrative tasks.

Responsibilities

• Provide dependable transportation for youth to classes, activities, and IL appointments.
• Assist with preparation and delivery of life-skill classes and related activities.
• Help youth navigate community resources and state programs.
• Prepare PREP curriculum and training materials.
• Serve as a point of contact for community partners and donations.
• Provide backup administrative duties when the IL office assistant is unavailable.

The Adams County Children and Youth agency is seeking a dedicated and organized Social Service Aide to assist youth as they are transitioning toward adulthood. This role provides hands‑on support, transportation services, life‑skills instruction, and administrative coordination to help youth successfully reach their IL goals.

Key responsibilities:

• Provide dependable transportation for youth to classes, activities, and Independent Living related appointments.
• Support preparation, facilitation, and curriculum updates for life-skill classes, activities and one on one IL instruction.
• Assist youth in navigating community resources and state programs.
• Prepare Renter's Program (PREP) curriculum and training materials.
• Develop, maintain, and serves as a point of contact for community partner who wish to donate to the program.
• Provide backup administrative duties when IL office assistant in unavailable.

This position is ideal for someone passionate about empowering youth, highly organized, and comfortable balancing direct support with administrative duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High School diploma or GED required

Compensation will be determined by education and experience as outlined in the job description, but will not be less than $15.63 / hour
