Tallahassee State College is looking for adjunct faculty to join their team in Tallahassee, Florida. Candidates must have a Master’s degree in their teaching discipline or at least 18 graduate semester hours in the relevant field. Adjunct faculty will provide instruction, service and support of college policies and procedures, along with opportunities for professional development.
A Master’s degree in the specific teaching discipline (ex. History, Psychology, etc.) or a Master’s degree with at least 18 graduate semester hours in the specified discipline (specifically covering the topic of the course to be taught) is required in addition to teaching experience, preferably within a community college setting.
This applicant pool is primarily for in‑person, on‑campus courses taught a variation of days (Monday through Friday) on Main Campus in Tallahassee, Florida.
Course time blocks are during the morning, mid‑day, and afternoon. A small amount of evening options may be offered.
*Some online and/or Zoom courses may be available for highly qualified candidates with experience teaching in the Community College setting via Canvas LMS.
We are actively seeking to create an applicant pool for the teaching disciplines listed below. Availability of positions to hire and courses offered will depend on enrollment. It is likely that some disciplines listed will not result in a hire. Applicants must be able/willing to teach a variety of courses within the discipline as needed (courses listed below each discipline). The primary degree required for each discipline is listed; do not apply if you do not have the degree or required graduate coursework.
