Job summary

Formlabs is offering a Social Media Engineering Intern position in Somerville, MA. You will lead end-to-end video production, turning engineering content into engaging media across platforms, while collaborating with the marketing team.

You’ll apply your editing skills, storytelling talent, and a passion for 3D printing to create content that resonates with engineers, artists, doctors, and makers worldwide. This role is onsite for Fall 2026, with full-time hours and internship benefits.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with video editing software and a knack for engaging content.
• Curious and technical mindset with an interest in physical making or 3D printing.
• Experience with 3D design/CAD or 3D printing is a major plus.
• Social platforms knowledge (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube, LinkedIn) and understanding of virality.
• Storytelling ability that balances fun, humor, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• End-to-End Video Production: Own social video projects from pitch to hitting publish.
• Operate Independently & Collaboratively: Work self-sufficiently on quick-turn stories while integrating into the team.
• Turn Tech into Content: Showcase parts, prints, and engineering projects in compelling ways.
• Data-Driven Strategy: Support reporting and analytics to measure content performance.
• Trendspotting: Spot real-time social trends and translate them into Formlabs content.
