Job summary

Pattern seeks a Social Media Creative Manager to be the on-the-ground face of our content at trade shows, events, and brand activations. You will conduct on-camera interviews, edit same-day posts, and bridge event experiences with social engagement. This full-time role is hybrid and based in Lehi, UT.

You will travel about half the time, produce mobile-first content with CapCut, and collaborate with brand teams to integrate Amazon listings and content strategy across channels.

Qualifications

  • Proven track record in social content creation or on-camera experience (required).
  • Strong instincts for fast-turnaround, mobile-first content creation and editing (CapCut or similar).
  • Comfortable traveling frequently (~50%) and long, active show-floor days.
  • Natural on-camera presence with ability to put strangers at ease quickly.
  • Experience with drone operation (or willingness to get certified).
  • Broadcast journalism background or experience as a corporate broadcaster.

Position Overview

We need a Social Media Creative Manager to be Pattern's boots-on-the-ground presence at trade shows, industry events, and brand activations. You'll act as the face and voice behind our content by conducting on-camera interviews, editing same-day posts, and bridging event experiences with social media engagement. This is a full-time role and will work a hybrid schedule based in Lehi, UT.

Key Responsibilities
  • Travel to industry shows and events (estimated 50% travel time).
  • Conduct "on the street" broadcast-style interviews with brands, attendees, and industry personnel.
  • Shoot and edit content in real time using mobile-first tools like CapCut.
  • Tag and feature around 10 brands daily across platform-ready social content.
  • Post, manage, and track content performance across social channels during and after events.
  • Ensure Amazon listings and product links are integrated into interview content alongside content teams.
  • Support broader media initiatives including the Totally SKU'd podcast and Unpacked with our CMO.
Requirements
  • Proven track record in social content creation or on-camera experience (required).
  • Strong instincts for fast-turnaround, mobile-first content creation and editing (CapCut or similar).
  • Comfortable traveling frequently (~50%) and working long, active days on show floors.
  • Natural on-camera presence with the ability to make strangers comfortable quickly.
  • Experience with drone operation (or willingness to get certified).
  • Strong cross-functional alignment skills to connect event output with brand priorities and social strategy.
  • Broadcast journalism background or prior experience working in broadcast news (e.g., news anchor or corporate broadcaster).
  • Proven track record in social content creation or on-camera experience, with a demonstrated ability to build and grow a personal or corporate social media account over multiple years.

  • On the street content consistently drives engagement and reach across social channels.
  • Brand and product tags lead to measurable traffic and awareness lift.
  • Content turnaround is fast, delivering same-day or next-day published posts.
  • You follow through with all assignments in a timely manner and take full ownership of projects.
  • Interviews feel authentic and on-brand, creating a repeatable content engine show after show.

As a Social Ambassador, you'll build a strong portfolio of on-camera and content creation work while growing your network across brands and the events industry. Strong performers can grow into content strategy, social media management, or on-camera talent roles as Pattern's content team continues to expand.

Timeline
  • 30 days: You're up to speed on Pattern's brand voice, content workflows, and editing tools, and have shadowed or co-covered your first event.
  • 60 days: You're independently covering events end-to-end—filming, editing, and same-day publishing—while building rapport with brand partners on-site.
  • 90 days: You're consistently delivering high-engagement content on a predictable cadence, with a growing library of authentic interviews and a track record of fast turnaround.

You will work with the other members of the Content and Social team and be supervised by the Head of Content Strategy. This team is data driven and results oriented. You will collaborate regularly with members of your team to implement actionable solutions. Ideas and input are encouraged from all members.
