Job summary

HF Design LLC is seeking a Social Media & Content Production Intern to join a design-driven team in NYC. This production-focused role involves creating graphics, short-form video, and product spotlights across Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Facebook, with hands-on use of Figma and AI tools.

You'll collaborate with the team to craft engaging content for homeowners, designers, and contractors, maintain a content calendar, and support photography and editing tasks. Remote production is allowed.

Qualifications

• Enrolled in college or recently graduated in design, marketing, communications or related field.
• Experience with Figma for design and layout.
• Curious about and actively using AI tools for content creation.
• Familiar with the visual language of Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn and Facebook.
• Video editing experience is a strong plus; Adobe Creative Suite familiarity is a plus.

Responsibilities

The Role

We're looking for a Social Media & Content Production Intern who's equal parts creative and efficient. This is primarily a production role where you'll be hands-on creating content: graphics, short-form video, product spotlights, inspiration posts, and more. You'll work across Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Facebook, helping us reach the homeowners renovating their dream kitchens, the designers speccing out commercial projects, and the contractors who keep coming back because they trust us.

If you're fluent in Figma, already experimenting with AI tools to speed up your workflow, and have some familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite, you'll fit right in here.

What You'll Do

• Create graphics, reels, stories, carousels, and still imagery for Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Facebook
• Work in Figma for layout, asset organization, and design handoffs
• Leverage AI tools (including Claude, generative image tools, etc.) to accelerate content ideation and production
• Assist with product photography styling and basic photo editing
• Help maintain a content calendar and stay consistent with posting schedules
• Research trends in home design, flooring, and interior styling to keep our content fresh and relevant
• Conduct market research : track competitor social accounts, monitor what's resonating in the flooring, interior design, and home renovation space, and bring back insights that inform our content strategy
• Edit short-form video content (Reels, TikTok-style clips) - a strong plus
• Use Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro) when needed - a plus, not a requirement

What We're Looking For

• Currently enrolled in a college or university program (design, marketing, communications, fine arts, or related field) OR recently graduated
• Experience with Figma for design and layout work
• Curious about and actively using AI tools for content creation
• Familiar with the visual language of Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, and Facebook
• A good eye for aesthetics and a sense of what makes a scroll-stopping post
• Comfortable doing research on competitors, trends, and audience behavior and translating findings into actionable ideas
• Self-directed and able to produce content with clear briefs but minimal hand-holding
• Video editing experience is a strong plus (Premiere Pro, CapCut, Final Cut, or similar)
• Adobe Creative Suite familiarity is a plus (Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, AfterEffects)
• Interest in interior design, home decor, architecture, or lifestyle content is a big advantage

• Schedule: 1-2 days per week in-person at our NYC location, with flexibility for remote production work
• Compensation: Paid + college credit
