Job summary

RWS TrainAI is seeking a freelance language data annotator in India to review short-form video clips and identify languages in audio and text. You will validate locale alignment and generate precise ground-truth labels using our internal tools.

The role offers part-time hours (4h/day) with a flexible schedule and immediate start. Prior data annotation or linguistic QA experience is a plus, and reliable internet is required.

Qualifications

• Native-level fluency in Malayalam.
• Access to reliable internet and a secure PC/laptop.
• Ability to follow detailed guidelines for data entry.

About the Role

In this role, you will play a critical part in shaping the future of artificial intelligence and media analysis. Your main responsibility will be to review short-form video media and classify the language present in both spoken audio and on-screen text. By validating content within your native locale, you will generate high-quality "ground truth" data.

Job Type: Freelance
Location: India (work from home)
Work Schedule: Part-time - 4 hours per day required. (Flexible schedule: you can choose your hours as long as the daily time requirement is met). Work whenever you want.
Start Date: Immediately
Duration: TBC
Rate: 6 USD per hour

What You'll Do

• Media Evaluation: Watch and analyze short-form video clips to identify all languages present in the audio and on-screen text.
• Locale Validation: Verify and validate that the media content aligns with your specific target locale (e.g., verifying that the media content uses authentic target language and aligns with the cultural context of that language).
• Data Labeling: Generate highly accurate ground truth labels using our internal classification tools according to strict project guidelines.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure high data quality and consistency to meet the standards required for training automated machine learning models.

What we're looking for

• Must be currently living in India.
• Native-level written and spoken fluency in Malayalam.
• Access to a reliable, high-speed internet connection and a secure personal computer/laptop.
• Ability to strictly follow detailed photography and data entry guidelines.
• (Preferred but not required) Previous experience in data annotation, content moderation, translation, transcription, or linguistic QA is a strong asset.
