Job Summary

Our client is looking for a creative, motivated Social Media Content Creator to showcase its forestry and heavy equipment business through engaging social media content. This role will focus on filming equipment in action, capturing high-quality photos and videos, creating short-form content, and helping grow the company's online presence across Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.

This is a hands‑on, field‑based position rather than a traditional desk job. The ideal candidate will spend time around heavy equipment, visiting jobsites, filming demonstrations, photographing equipment inventory, and capturing content that highlights the machines, products, and services the company offers. The goal is to turn everyday equipment operations into engaging content that attracts attention, generates interest, and supports the company’s sales and marketing efforts.

The Social Media Content Creator will work closely with the sales team to promote equipment sales, rentals, parts, and services. This includes identifying content opportunities, developing creative ideas, editing videos, and maintaining a consistent posting schedule. The position may also involve attending customer events, equipment demonstrations, and occasional trade shows to capture additional content.

The ideal candidate is creative, organized, self‑motivated, and comfortable working outdoors and around heavy machinery. Someone with a good eye for engaging content, a positive attitude, and a willingness to learn about forestry and heavy equipment can succeed in this role. Professional marketing experience or heavy equipment experience is not required, but basic video editing skills and familiarity with social media platforms are preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Film forestry equipment, mulchers, grinders, and other heavy machinery in operation
• Capture high‑quality photos and videos of equipment inventory, demonstrations, jobsites, and daily operations
• Create, edit, and publish engaging short‑form videos for Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
• Maintain a consistent social media posting schedule across applicable platforms
• Help grow the company's social media following, visibility, and audience engagement
• Develop creative content ideas that showcase equipment capabilities, product features, and real‑world applications
• Work with the sales team to promote equipment sales, rentals, parts, service, and repair offerings
• Visit jobsites and equipment locations to capture footage and identify opportunities for new content
• Attend equipment demonstrations, customer events, and occasional trade shows to film and photograph activities
• Edit videos and photos to create polished, engaging content suitable for each platform
• Help organize and maintain a library of equipment photos, videos, and marketing content
• Identify opportunities to repurpose footage into multiple posts and content formats
• Stay familiar with social media trends, video formats, and content ideas that may improve engagement
• Coordinate with internal team members to ensure content accurately represents the company's equipment, products, and services
• Maintain an organized workflow and meet established content creation and posting deadlines

Qualifications

• Experience creating social media content for personal, professional, or business accounts is preferred
• Basic video editing experience preferred
• Comfortable using smartphones, cameras, and social media platforms to capture and publish content
• Familiarity with Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube
• Creative mindset with a good eye for photography, video, and engaging visual content
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple content projects and deadlines
• Self‑motivated, dependable, and willing to take initiative
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with a sales team
• Willingness to learn about forestry equipment, heavy machinery, and the company’s products and services
• Comfortable working outdoors, visiting jobsites, and filming around operating equipment while following all required safety procedures
• Ability to travel locally to equipment locations, jobsites, demonstrations, and customer events
• Valid driver's license

• Prior heavy equipment, forestry, or industrial experience is a plus but not required
