Job summary

Sinai Akiba Academy seeks a Communications & Social Media Coordinator to craft clear, compelling messages across internal and external channels. You will manage day-to-day communications, elevate the school’s voice, and support alignment across academic, advancement, and operations under the Director of Marketing & Strategic Communications.

The role emphasizes strong writing, attention to detail, and a passion for Jewish education, serving families and staff at a LA Day School.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in communications, public relations, journalism, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience writing and coordinating communications, preferably in independent schools or non-profits.
• Proficiency with Google Suite and Blackbaud; familiarity with email platforms like Constant Contact.
• Proven ability to manage projects from concept to delivery and uphold brand standards.
• Strong understanding of Jewish identity, holidays, and life cycle events.

Responsibilities

• Lead development and execution of internal and external communications, including emails and newsletters.
• Create and deliver school communications in electronic and print formats.
• Maintain contact lists and calendars across platforms (Constant Contact, JagNet, etc.).
• Develop and manage social media content across platforms to reflect SAA’s brand and values.
• Collaborate with leadership to align communications with academic, advancement, and operations.
