Job summary

St. Patrick Catholic Community in Scottsdale, AZ, is seeking a part-time, non-exempt Social Justice & Outreach Coordinator to support program operations, maintain confidentiality, and prepare timely reports under the Director’s supervision.

The role emphasizes building community ties, assisting with intake, advocacy, and mental health ministry initiatives, and coordinating with diocesan resources to serve parishioners and neighbors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Theology or Social Work with theology courses or related experience.
• Two years of experience in social justice work.
• Knowledge of diocesan guidelines and procedures.
• Completion and maintenance of Diocesan Safe Environment Training as required by the Diocese.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and builds relationships with community services aligned with SPCC goals.
• Participates in Emergency Assistance Ministry intake, needs assessment, and short-term assistance.
• Assists in raising issues reflecting Gospel message to mobilize community response.
• Gathers knowledge on state and national legislation; acts as legislative liaison.
• Organizes and promotes mental health ministry with Diocese; spreads awareness of resources.
