Job summary

The Franklin Institute in Philadelphia is seeking a highly creative Social Media Content Manager to lead original social content creation, short-form video storytelling, and platform-native copy across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and more. You will turn exhibits, programs, and events into engaging content that grows audience engagement and strengthens brand relevance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Digital Media, or related field preferred.
• 5–8 years of professional experience creating social content for a brand or cultural institution.
• Portfolio of high-performing social content including short-form video and campaigns.

Responsibilities

• Lead development, production, writing and publishing of social content across priority platforms.
• Create short-form video and platform-native content; develop recurring formats and series.
• Translate science and programs into entertaining, social-first copy and visuals.
• Use performance data to improve creative decisions and posting strategies.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners on campaigns and events.
• Oversee real-time content during openings, events and launches.
