A local economic development organization is seeking a professional caseworker to provide intensive services for Family Treatment Drug Court cases in Colorado. The role involves consultation, training new workers, and delivering therapeutic interventions. Job description

Overview

This is a specialized position that provides any combination of intensive CORE Services for Family Treatment Drug Court (FTDC) cases. This position may provide consultation to other caseworkers in the area of family dynamics or substance abuse issues and training of new workers. This position provides a variety of services including therapeutic intervention typically with all family members, concrete services, collateral services and crisis intervention directed to meet the needs of the child and family, to improve family communication, functioning and relationships.

Qualifications

Level II: Education and or Experience: Bachelor’s degree with a major in a human behavioral sciences field. Major course work is the equivalent of 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in either development of human behavior, child development, family intervention techniques, diagnostic measures or therapeutic techniques. Examples of such major course work are social work, psychology, sociology, guidance and counseling, and child development. Minimum of one year of full-time professional caseworker experience acquired after the degree in a public or private social services agency.

Substitutions: A master’s degree in social work or human behavioral sciences field may substitute for the required work experience. A BSW and Field Placement with any Colorado Department of Human Services will substitute for one year full time casework experience.

For Promotional Purposes Only: Minimum of one-year full-time professional caseworker experience obtained in a social services agency at the Social Case Worker I level.

Level III: Education and or Experience: Bachelor’s degree with a major in a human behavioral sciences field. Major course work is the equivalent of 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in either development of human behavior, child development, family intervention techniques, diagnostic measures or therapeutic techniques. Examples of such major course work are social work, psychology, sociology, guidance and counseling, and child development. Minimum of two years of progressively responsible, full-time, professional case worker experience, appropriate to the assignment, acquired after the degree in a public or private social services agency.

Substitutions: A master’s degree in social work or human behavioral sciences field may substitute for one year of the required work experience, one year of work experience must be received after the master’s degree.

For Promotional Purposes Only: Minimum of one year full-time professional caseworker experience obtained in a social services agency at the Social Case Worker II level.

Level IV: Education and or Experience: Bachelor’s degree with a major in a human behavioral sciences field. Major course work is the equivalent of 30 semester hours or 45 quarter hours in either development of human behavior, child development, family intervention techniques, diagnostic measures or therapeutic techniques. Examples of such major course work are social work, psychology, sociology, guidance and counseling, and child development. Minimum of one-year full time, paid experience obtained in a social services agency at a Case Worker III Level.

Additional Requirements

Proof of valid Colorado driver’s license, vehicle in safe operating condition and liability insurance must be on file at all times.
