Job summary

Soccer Shots - Central Indiana is hiring youth soccer instructors to lead 30-minute sessions for children ages 2–8 across the Greater Indianapolis area. Trainers must be able to manage a class of up to 12 youngsters, bring energy, and convey safety and enthusiasm during each session.

Starting pay is $17 per session, with potential for growth or transition to a salaried role. Part-time afternoon, evening, or morning slots are available, and schedules are set for the season.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Youth Soccer Instructors Needed for Children Ages 2-8: Greater Indianapolis Area (Boone, Hamilton, Hendricks, Johnson, Marion Counties) & West Lafayette/Lafayette

We want instructors who are passionate about working with children, possess basic soccer skills, and can handle a group of 12 three‑year‑olds. Our 30‑minute sessions are designed to be the best 30 minutes of each child’s week.

Payment and Schedule

• Starting pay is $17 per session (approx. $34/hr) with potential growth in pay or a transition to a salaried position.
• Coaches may instruct 2‑4 consecutive sessions, resulting in $34‑$70 per hour or more.
• Part‑time schedules include afternoon, evening, or morning availability Monday‑Friday. Morning classes run roughly 8am‑12pm.
• Once a schedule is set, it remains unchanged throughout the season.

Commitment

Candidates must be able to commit to at least the next 3‑4 seasons (9‑12 months). Ideal candidates are looking for long‑term employment (12 months) and growth opportunities.

Ideal Instructor Criteria

• Responsible: Arrives on time, can manage a group of 10+ children, keeps accurate attendance, communicates well with the Soccer Shots director of coaching.
• Professional: Neat appearance, friendly and courteous with day‑care center staff, directors, and parents, self‑assured.
• Enthusiastic: Enjoys interacting with young children (2‑8 years old), connects with them on their level, makes the class the best 30 minutes of their week; outgoing and animated, capable of silliness.
• Soccer: Experience with soccer is helpful, but a strong ability to work with children and familiarity with the game suffices.
• Transportation: Own reliable transportation.
• Equipment: Own and have daily access to a computer, printer, and internet.
