Job summary

A youth sports organization seeks an Official responsible for enforcing rules and fostering a positive culture on the field. This position impacts players, coaches, and spectators, promoting fun and sportsmanship. Candidates should have excellent communication skills and sports-related experience. A positive attitude and ability to manage varied schedules including weekends are essential. Candidates must also pass a National Criminal Background Check.

Qualifications

• Must possess excellent communication skills.
• Experience in officiating, playing, or coaching sports is necessary.
• Must be a motivated self-starter with problem-solving skills.
• Must be able to ensure player safety in all situations.
• Positive demeanor and relationship-building skills are essential.
• Must be available on weekends and some evenings during the season.
• Passing a National Criminal Background Check is required.

Responsibilities

• Understand and enforce the i9 Sports rules to ensure fun and safety.
• Teach Sportsmanship values and demonstrate core concepts.
• Keep time and score, managing appropriate levels of competition.
• Exhibit a positive attitude and excellent customer service.
