Job summary

Base One Technologies is seeking a Junior Cyber Network Defense Analyst to provide 24x7 security monitoring across day and night shifts from Sunday to Saturday. You will analyze network traffic, investigate alerts, and document SENs and SOC investigations using enterprise SIEM tools.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in cybersecurity concepts, familiarity with common ports and protocols, and experience with packet analysis tools like Wireshark. DoD TS/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Information Systems, or Computer Science with 2+ years of professional experience.
• AS degree with 6+ years professional experience.
• GED with 8+ years professional experience.

Responsibilities

• Utilize a SIEM for enterprise monitoring and detection.
• Create Security Event Notifications to document investigation findings.
• Perform critical thinking and analysis to investigate cyber security alerts.
• Analyze network traffic using enterprise tools (e.g. PCAP, Firewall, Proxy, IDS/IPS).
• Collaborate with team members to analyze an alert or a threat.
• Stay up to date with latest threats.
• Monitor shared email box for notifications and requests.
• Use OSINT to aid investigations and contribute to content tuning requests.
