Job summary

Annapurna Labs, an AWS organization, is seeking a Systems Software Engineer to work at the hardware-software boundary on pre- and post-silicon challenges. You will develop SoC models, debug interactions from firmware to runtime, and collaborate with chip architects and ML teams to validate interfaces.

Role focuses on creating software that runs on newly designed hardware, with opportunities to influence hardware features and build robust tooling—location: Cupertino or Austin.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of professional experience developing firmware, drivers, runtime software, or low-level systems software for custom hardware (SoCs, ASICs, GPUs, CPUs, FPGAs)
• Experience reading hardware specifications and translating them into software
• Experience with C++, Python, and/or Rust (prefer at least 2)

Responsibilities

• Develop and own components of SoC models, from single-chip to datacenter-scale
• Debug hardware/software interactions across the full stack, from model bring-up to live silicon performance analysis
• Collaborate with chip architects, RTL designers, modelers, compiler engineers, and ML teams
• Contribute to hardware feature design from a software perspective early in the cycle
• Build tooling and automation to accelerate development for the team
