Job summary

ASM Research, an Accenture Federal Services company, is seeking a cybersecurity professional to protect the DHMS program’s information systems and networks. You will monitor, detect, investigate, analyze, and respond to security incidents while coordinating with IT, operations, compliance, and risk teams to enforce cybersecurity policies and best practices.

Qualifications

• Associate's Degree required.
• 3-5 years of cybersecurity/information security operations experience.
• Fundamental understanding of cybersecurity principles and tools (firewalls, IDS/IPS).
• Experience conducting security assessments and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
• Attention to detail and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, detect, investigate, analyze, and respond to cybersecurity incidents affecting DHMS program information systems, networks, and data.
• Implement protective measures and mitigation strategies.
• Collaborate with IT, operations, compliance, and risk management to ensure DHMS IT cybersecurity compliance.
• Conduct security assessments using tools such as firewalls and IDS/IPS.
• Develop documentation supporting data security best practices.
• Support application and server security activities, including addressing web application vulnerabilities and secure coding practices.
• Apply knowledge of identity/access management (SSO, RBAC) and secure operating environment practices (Unix/Linux).
