Job summary

Apple Inc. in Cupertino, CA is seeking a Performance Modeling Software Engineer to help shape the SOC performance architecture for future devices. You will translate architectural studies into high-performance C++ models and collaborate across SOC architecture, design, power, and software teams.

You will develop scalable simulation infrastructure, ensure maintainable code, and deliver data-driven insights to hardware architects working on CPUs, GPUs, ML, camera, display, and connectivity.

Qualifications

• Experience with hardware architecture and design issues.
• Proficient in C++ and Python; strong data structures knowledge.
• Experience with multi-paradigm software development in C++.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-performance C++ software models for SOC performance.
• Create APIs for non-expert C++ developers.
• Train AI agents and non-expert developers on idiomatic code.
• Ensure codebase supports AI-assisted development tools.
• Write clear, self-documenting code with consistent conventions.
• Learn state of the art in SoC IP and chip-level architecture.
