Job summary

Wichita State University is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to support the NIAR Security Helpdesk and Operations Center (SHOC). The role focuses on monitoring and safeguarding information systems, enforcing cybersecurity best practices, and ensuring compliance with NIST 800-171.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Six years of information security experience; every 30 hours of college coursework can substitute for one year of experience.
• Preferred: bachelor’s degree in cybersecurity, information security, computer science, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Interfaces with user community to understand security needs and implements procedures to provide accommodations.
• Conducts evaluation of required security level and provides status reports and security metrics.
• Functions as part of the incident response team.
