Job summary

The University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is seeking a Research Study Coordinator to work with investigators on imaging research at the BRIC. You will recruit subjects, coordinate protocols, and manage data for pediatric/neuroimaging studies, collaborating with clinical populations and families.

Ideal candidates hold a related bachelor’s degree and have strong communication skills; bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Excellent communication skills and trauma-informed care approach.

Responsibilities

  • Recruit and coordinate study subjects for pediatric/neuroimaging research.
  • Coordinate study protocols across teams and manage study information.
  • Collect, organize and enter research data for BRIC studies.
  • Work with investigators and research personnel to execute imaging studies.

Position Summary

The primary purpose for this position is to work directly with investigators and other research personnel to initiate and execute imaging research studies at the BRIC . This position will be the primary contact for pediatric/neuroimaging/developmental-related research endeavors at the BRIC , and will work directly mothers, newborn babies, children, and families to assist them through study visits. This position will also work directly with a variety of clinical populations to collect research data for various studies at the BRIC . Major responsibilities include: recruitment and coordination of study subjects, communication across study teams to implement study protocols, management of study information, and data organization/collection/entry.

Minimum Education And Experience Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in a discipline related to the field assigned and one year of related training or experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Management Preferences

Experience working directly children between 0-3 years of age, as well as with families and children of all ages

Experiencing working with people with a history of substance use disorder or adversity, and working with compassion and trauma-informed care

  • Strong written and verbal skills, to communicate clearly with both the study team and research participants and families.
Ability to work in the Magnetic Resonance Imaging ( MRI ) and Positron Emission Tomography ( PET ) scanner room. Employee will undergo safety screening and will need to complete required safety training (including radiation worker training) to work in this environment.

Bilingual in Spanish and English is preferred
