Job summary

Apple Inc. seeks a SoC Audio Architect to define the audio subsystem architecture for Apple’s SoCs. You will own multi-generational subsystem designs from concept through tape-out, collaborating with Silicon, Software, Hardware, and Firmware teams to balance performance, power, and area.

This is an architecture-focused role where leadership, clear communication, and the ability to influence across organizations are essential. Master’s degree plus 10+ years of relevant experience highly desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience with SoC architecture principles and audio processing.
• Proven ability to size subsystems and balance performance, power, and area.
• Experience collaborating with Silicon, Software, Hardware, and Firmware teams.
• Familiarity with audio interfaces such as I2S, PDM, and TDM is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Define and own architecture specifications for audio subsystems across Apple SoC product lines.
• Author and maintain multi-generational technical roadmaps for audio subsystems.
• Contribute to performance and power modeling to size subsystems and interfaces.
• Collaborate with Silicon Engineering, Software Engineering, Hardware Engineering, and Firmware teams from concept through tape-out.
• Present architecture and performance study results to cross-functional and executive audiences.
• Mentor engineers and support onboarding and talent development within the team.
