Job summary

SOClogix, Inc. is seeking a detail-oriented Security Operations Center (SOC) Analyst to monitor and protect customer and company information systems.

You will review security alerts, investigate suspicious activity, and coordinate responses with established playbooks and tools. The role emphasizes ongoing learning, accurate documentation, and clear communication to both security professionals and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in cybersecurity, IT, CS, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience in a SOC, IT support, systems administration, incident response, or security-focused environment is valued.
• Familiarity with SIEM, EDR tools, ticketing systems, and common operating systems.
• Strong written and verbal communication, judgment, discretion, and handling of sensitive information.

Responsibilities

• Monitor security dashboards, SIEM alerts, endpoint tools, and other data sources to identify unusual activity.
• Triage alerts by reviewing evidence, assessing severity, and deciding on escalation.
• Investigate phishing, suspicious logins, malware detections, policy violations, and other incidents using playbooks.
• Record investigations, actions, evidence, and outcomes in case-management systems.
• Escalate high-risk activity promptly to senior analysts or customer contacts following procedures.
• Support incident response activities including information gathering, containment, and post-incident docs.
• Identify recurring alert patterns and suggest improvements to detection rules and workflows.
• Protect confidential data and maintain professional customer interactions while staying current with threats.
