Phoenix Cyber is seeking a SOC Analyst to join our client delivery team in Chandler, AZ. This onsite role involves monitoring network activity, IDS and SIEM, and supporting incident response across shifts, including overnight work.

The successful candidate has at least 2 years in security, experience with incident response, and an active Secret Clearance, plus CEH or CySA+ with CSSP/DOD8570 certifications. Equal opportunity employer committed to compliance.

Qualifications

  • CEH or CySA+ plus CSSP/DOD8570 related certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze network traffic, IDS, security events and logs.
  • Develop, maintain, and follow SOC SOPs.
  • Support daily and monthly situation reporting per shift.
  • Review large data sets for anomalous activity.
  • Create detective content for IDS and SIEM and propose proactive blocks.
  • Track security investigations through resolution.
  • Compose security alert notifications and communications.
  • Advise incident responders on steps to resolve incidents.
  • Stay up to date with vulnerabilities and countermeasures.
  • Work a shift schedule, including overnight as required.

Phoenix Cyberis looking for SOC Analyststo join our client delivery team. This is onsite at the client location in Chandler, AZ. This is a shift work position with some overnight work.

  • Monitorand analyzenetwork traffic, Intrusion Detection Systems (IDS), security events and logs; Prioritizeand differentiatebetween potential intrusion attempts and false alarms.
  • Develop, maintain, and follow SOC Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Support daily and monthly situation reporting per shift.
  • Proactively reviewlarge data sets for anomalous activity.
  • Create detective content for monitoring devices such as IDS and SIEM and advise on proactive blocks for security architecture.
  • Createand tracksecurity investigations to resolution.
  • Composesecurity alert notifications and other communications.
  • Adviseincident responders onthe steps to take to investigate and resolve computer security incidents.
  • Stayup to date with current vulnerabilities, attacks, and countermeasures.
  • This position requires the ability to work a shift schedule.
  • The ideal candidate will beable to multitask and give equal attention to a variety of functions while under pressure.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Two (2) years’ experience in security
  • Experience in handling incident response
  • Certified Ethical Hacking (CEH) certification or CompTIA CySA+ AND (within 6 months of hire) any from the CSSP Analyst, Infrastructure Support, or IR from the DOD 8570 list (or other similar certifications as approved by Government)
  • Secret Clearance (active)
