About The Company

Sentinel Blue helps organizations strengthen their cybersecurity and manage evolving digital risks. The company works with clients to identify security gaps, improve their ability to detect and respond to threats, and protect the systems and information they rely on. Sentinel Blue values clear communication, thoughtful analysis, and practical security solutions that support both business objectives and operational needs. Our team is committed to continuous learning and to building trusted relationships with clients and colleagues.

About The Role

Sentinel Blue is seeking a Cybersecurity Analyst to support security monitoring, investigation, and risk-reduction activities. In this role, you will review security alerts, investigate potential incidents, document findings, and help clients and internal teams understand appropriate next steps. You will work with security tools, technical teams, and business stakeholders to identify suspicious activity and contribute to effective incident response. The ideal candidate brings sound judgment, curiosity, and a careful approach to handling sensitive information. You can explain technical findings in clear language, organize competing priorities, and follow established procedures while recognizing when an issue needs to be escalated. This position offers opportunities to develop your security expertise across a range of technologies, environments, and threat scenarios.

Qualifications

Candidates should have a degree in cybersecurity, information technology, computer science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience. Experience in a security operations, IT support, systems administration, or related technical role is preferred. Familiarity with security information and event management (SIEM) platforms, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, ticketing systems, or cloud security concepts is an advantage. You should understand foundational networking, operating systems, identity and access management, and common cybersecurity principles. The ability to investigate logs, assess alerts, and document work accurately is important. Strong written and verbal communication, attention to detail, sound problem-solving skills, and discretion when handling confidential data are essential. Industry certifications such as Security+, CySA+, or equivalent credentials are welcome but are not required. A commitment to ongoing professional development and responsible security practices is expected.

Responsibilities
  • Monitor security alerts and relevant data sources to identify potentially malicious activity, policy violations, and emerging risks. Triage alerts, gather supporting evidence, determine severity, and elevate incidents in accordance with established procedures. Assist with incident response by recording timelines, documenting investigative steps, coordinating with relevant teams, and tracking actions through resolution.
  • Review system, network, and endpoint logs to identify indicators of compromise and patterns that may require further investigation. Support vulnerability assessments by validating findings, helping prioritize remediation, and following up with system owners. Maintain accurate case notes, incident records, and operational documentation. Prepare concise summaries of findings and communicate technical risks and recommendations to audiences with varying levels of technical knowledge.
  • Contribute to improvements in monitoring processes, security procedures, and knowledge resources. Collaborate with colleagues and clients to support security awareness, operational readiness, and risk reduction. Handle security information responsibly and follow applicable policies, confidentiality requirements, and professional standards.
Benefits

Sentinel Blue offers a collaborative environment focused on meaningful security work and professional growth. Depending on role location and employment terms, benefits may include competitive compensation, health coverage, paid time off, retirement savings options, training resources, and support for relevant certifications. Employees can work alongside experienced professionals, expand their technical capabilities, and contribute to practical security outcomes for clients. Specific benefits and eligibility are shared during the hiring process.
