ShorePoint, LLC is seeking a Journeyman SOAR Engineer to advance detection and automation within our central SIEM. You will own SME-level SOAR capabilities, drive automated detection and response, and integrate security workflows into CI/CD pipelines across Bitbucket, Jenkins and Git.

This role supports DoD RMF/NIST standards and requires active clearance. Based onsite in Las Vegas, NV, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to strengthen threat detection, streamline security

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years of Cybersecurity Expertise and Automation experience.
• Designing and implementing automated operations across security tools and central SIEM.
• Proficient with SOAR tools (Tines, Splunk SOAR, XSOAR) and automation scripting.
• DoD cybersecurity frameworks (RMF, NIST 800-53, STIGs).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Gitlab and security integration.
• Strong understanding of networking, firewalls and RBAC.
• Analyze logs and security alerts to develop proactive countermeasures.
• Active DOE Q or equivalent DoD Top Secret clearance.

Responsabilités

• Serve as SME for SOAR technologies, detection logic and automation in the SIEM environment.
• Integrate automated detection logic for tools into CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket, Jenkins, Git).
• Support automating detection logic with various log sources in a central SIEM.
• Manage the detection lifecycle and assist in automated response development.
• Monitor and manage SIEM tools (Azure Sentinel, Splunk) and log analytics for threat detection.
• Automate security tasks using scripting and platform-native tools (Splunk SOAR, Python, PowerShell).
• Contribute to risk assessments, ATO documentation and policy enforcement.
• Assist with token management, certificate renewal automation and credential lifecycles.
• Support cloud security across the environment (Azure/AWS) and endpoint protection.
• Collaborate with SOC teams to implement automation across the security stack.
