Job summary

ShorePoint, LLC is seeking a Journeyman SOAR Engineer to enhance detection, automate security operations and support Zero Trust initiatives. You will work across CI/CD, central SIEM environments and various security tools to strengthen threat detection and response.

You will contribute to automation within SOC workflows, support ATO documentation, and help implement secure architecture while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-growing cybersecurity environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, CS, IS, Math, Eng or related field.
• Experience with DoD cybersecurity frameworks (RMF, NIST 800-53, STIGs).
• 5+ years in cybersecurity, automation and SOAR tooling.

Responsibilities

• Serve as SME for SOAR technologies, detection logic and automation.
• Integrate automated detection logic into CI/CD pipelines (Bitbucket, Jenkins, Git).
• Automate detection logic with log sources in a central SIEM.
• Manage detection lifecycle and assist automated response.
• Monitor SIEM tools (Azure Sentinel, Splunk) and log analytics.
• Automate security tasks using Splunk SOAR, Python, PowerShell.
• Contribute to risk assessments, ATO documentation and policy enforcement.
• Assist with token management and credential lifecycle tasks.
• Support patching and endpoint protection across cloud landscape.
• Assist SOC teams with automation initiatives.
