Job summary

Peraton is seeking Automation Engineers to support the SITEC program at MacDill AFB. The role focuses on building automation for SOAR platforms and central telemetry systems like Splunk and Microsoft Sentinel to streamline SOC operations.

You will design automated workflows, integrate diverse security tools, and provide guidance to SOC personnel. DoD cyber defense experience and DoD 8570 IAT II clearance are highly valued.

Qualifications

• DoD 8570 IAT II required.
• TS/SCI clearance required.
• DoW8140 compliant work role 451 – System Administrator - Intermediate or higher by 1 Sept 26.
• CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices familiarity helpful.
• SIEM engineering and log management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and deploy automated workflows, playbooks, and scripts for cyber incident triage, investigation, and remediation.
• Administer and engineer enterprise SOAR platforms, including architecture planning, system health monitoring, and upgrades.
• Develop custom API integrations to connect SOAR with internal and external security tools and IT systems.
• Collaborate with incident responders and cyber analysts to translate SOPs into automated processes.
• Write and optimize scripts in Python, PowerShell, or Bash for parsing and responding to alerts.
