Job summary

Homewood Mountain Resort seeks a Snowsports Lead to ensure smooth daily operations of the Snowsports School. You’ll manage check-in/check-out, maintain safe on-snow spaces, and serve as a key link among instructors, families, and resort teams.

Working with the Snowsports Supervisor and support staff, you’ll coordinate with Rental, Food & Beverage, and Sales to keep lessons on schedule. This role requires flexibility, strong communication, and a welcoming, child-friendly approach to every guest.

Qualifications

  • PSIA/AASI Level 1 Certification (or equivalent) preferred.
  • Experience in guest services, childcare, or early childhood education preferred.
  • Knowledge of Snowsports environments or familiarity with lesson logistics.
  • Comfortable stepping onto snow to assist with transitions or equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee facilities used in Adult and Children’s Lessons including check-in/out areas and rentals.
  • Ensure learning areas are set up and compliant with ANSI signage.
  • Maintain a polished, welcoming, organized environment.
  • Communicate schedules, location logistics, and daily guidance to parents and instructors.
  • Collaborate with Rental, F&B, and Sales teams to keep lessons running smoothly.
  • Model and maintain safety and child-friendly protocols.

Snowsports Lead

Homewood Mountain & Lake Club, set on the West Shore of Lake Tahoe in Homewood, California. Homewood is seeking a Snowsports Lead to join the Snowsports Department.

Job Summary

The Snowsports Lead is responsible for ensuring seamless daily operations of the Snowsports School through expert logistics, facility management, and playful guest service. Working closely with the Snowsports Supervisor and facility teams, you’ll create a smooth check-in/out experience, maintain safe and welcoming on-snow and base-area spaces, and serve as a key link among our instructors, families, and resort teams.

Duties & Responsibilities
  • Oversee the facilities used in Adult and Children’s Lessons including check-in/check-out areas, rentals, lunch spaces, and learning areas.
  • Ensure the learning areas are properly set up and in compliance with ANSI signage.
  • Maintain a polished, welcoming, and organized environment.
  • Clearly communicate with parents/guardians and instructors regarding schedules, location logistics, and daily guidance.
  • Champion guest service excellence: anticipate questions, troubleshoot smoothly, and leave families smiling.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Rental, Food & Beverage, and Sales teams to keep lessons running smoothly.
  • Model and maintain safety and child-friendly protocols throughout the children’s school.
  • Assist with resort events, training sessions, and special programs as needed.
  • Other duties as assigned.

  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
  • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Long hours may be required due to business demands.
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.

Salary

The Company’s good faith estimate of the hourly rate it expects to pay for this role is $25-$27 and is based on applicable and specialized experience and location.
