Job summary

Alterra Mountain Company in Snowshoe, West Virginia is seeking seasonal Snowmaker to support early-season snowmaking operations. The role involves operating equipment, performing maintenance, and assisting with terrain prep to ensure high-quality skiing experiences.

Candidates should have a High School Diploma or GED, be able to lift up to 70 pounds, and be willing to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Housing is available onsite for rent.

Qualifications

• Experience in snowmaking is preferred; eagerness to learn is valued.
• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds and work in outdoor alpine conditions.
• Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Operate snowmaking machinery and perform site work.
• Maintain and repair water/air lines and equipment.
• Provide labor support and assist guests with trail info and weather/events.
• Relocate snowmaking guns and maintain terrain quality.
• Follow OSHA and company safety procedures and use PPE.
