Job description

Woodward Park City , located just 20 minutes from Salt Lake City, is a year-round world-class action sports facility with a culture that comes straight from our main product: Fun. If this sounds like the kind of place you’d like to work, progress, and play, we’d love to hear from you!

About the Role

The Snowmaking Supervisor is a hands‑on leader on Woodward Park City’s Parks Crew and reports to the Senior Parks Manager. This role helps design, build, and maintain our innovative environments while leading a crew of approximately 5–10 employees. You’ll provide leadership, coordination, and guidance across all park surfaces — snow slopes and terrain parks in the winter, plus concrete skate parks, indoor gym floors, and dirt surfaces year‑round — all while creating a fun, safe environment for guests and employees.

What’s in it for you
  • A robust benefits package including Health, Dental, Vision, and Matching 401K.
  • Annual performance incentive bonus plan.
  • Paid time off.
  • Complimentary access to Snowbird and most POWDR‑owned resorts (Skiing, Riding, and more!)
  • You will have full access to our world‑class facilities. You will work and play in the same innovative environments as professional and Olympic athletes.
  • Friends & family discounts and complimentary passes.
  • Enough free time to enjoy the Woodward lifestyle.
  • Discounts on food, retail, and gear.
  • Career development and growth opportunities are available here and at our facilities across the globe.
What You’ll Do
  • Train, coach, supervise, and lead the Parks Crew in daily operations.
  • Help design, build, and maintain features across snow, skate, dirt, and indoor park environments.
  • Plan and lead daily risk assessments, feature inspections, and testing.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact between department management, crew members, and other departments.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and reinforce safety procedures with the crew.
  • Support department management with labor scheduling and recruiting.
  • Adapt quickly to changing conditions and support operations as needed.
What We’re Looking For
  • Previous terrain park experience with the ability to lead and develop a crew.
  • Basic snowcat operation and maintenance knowledge.
  • Proven ability to collaborate across departments, work as part of a team, and lead teams in achieving goals.
  • Clear, professional communicator — in person, over the phone, and in writing.
  • Calm under pressure, able to meet deadlines, and able to pivot quickly in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Takes initiative, responsibility, and accountability with strong attention to detail.
  • Solid knowledge of recreation procedures and safety precautions.
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3–5 years of outdoor terrain park operating experience.
  • Understanding snowmaking operations.
Schedule & Physical Requirements
  • Comfortable working outdoors in an all‑season environment and in varying weather conditions.
  • Ability to bend, twist, push, pull, stand for extended periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Availability to work weekends, holidays, and evenings.
Additional Information
  • Winter outdoor uniforms are provided and must be returned at the end of the winter season; other seasonal soft goods are yours to keep.
  • Due to the sensitive nature of this position, a criminal background check will be conducted after the position is accepted.
