Sugarbush Resort is seeking Snowmaking Control Room Technicians for the upcoming winter season. This winter-season role operates on a late October to early February schedule, with potential to move to other resort roles after snowmaking ends.

Shifts are 12 hours, 4 days per week, with overnight hours from 7pm to 7am and a higher pay rate. Pay ranges from $20/hour to $24/hour based on experience.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Mechanical orientation is a plus.
• Ability to communicate effectively over telephone, 2‑way radio, and in person.
• Must be comfortable withstanding loud noise and exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally.

Responsabilités

• Operate equipment and monitor pumps and compressors; maintain system efficiency.
• Operate computer controls (remote and local).
• Maintain communication with on-hill and maintenance staff; relay supply/demand information.
• Communicate proper gun settings to on-hill staff and start/stop hydrants as requested.
• Serve as a liaison between snowmaking and other departments.
• Record hourly data of operating equipment and system parameters.
• Track Sugarbush and Valley total power wattage; ensure demand stays within transmission limits.
• Maintain peripheral snowmaking equipment (radios, tools, diesel fuel levels).
• Update current weather conditions and patterns.
