Job summary

Boyne Resorts is seeking an Level 1 Snowmaker to support snow production on our mountains. The role involves working outdoors in harsh winter conditions, with shifts across days and nights, including overtime and weather-dependent hours.

Responsibilities include operating snowmaking systems, maintaining equipment, and contributing to a safe, efficient mountain build. A positive attitude and ability to work in a team are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Entry level position in snowmaking.
• Fluent English communication is required.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 75 lbs.
• Basic hand tool knowledge is preferred.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, potentially high-pressure environment.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and team spirit.
• Flexible with hours and days, including weekends and holidays.
• Able to work in harsh winter conditions outdoors for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Operate high voltage equipment, high pressure air and water systems with safety precautions.
• Set up, tear down, and maintain snowmaking equipment on trails.
• Produce snow to create the best skiing surface.
• Perform general maintenance and housekeeping of buildings, equipment, snow guns, and hoses.
• Check out and return tools, headlamps, and radios to original locations.
• Use PPE for the various types of work.
• Report needed repairs or malfunctions to supervisors.
• Receive daily work instructions and complete tasks with minimal supervision.
• Be willing to help in other departments during peak periods.
• Maintain a positive attitude and respect all team members.
• Complete other duties as assigned by management.
