Job summary

Snow Partners LLC is seeking a Snowmaker for Mountain Creek in Vernon, NJ. The role involves turning on and off on-hill snowmaking equipment, monitoring quality and coverage, and performing daily pre- and post-operational setup for snowmaking infrastructure.

The position requires physical work, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work weekends, nights, and holidays. You will operate snowmobiles and support equipment while following safety and company protocols.

Qualifications

• Able to frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work weekends, nights and holidays.
• Able to perform manual labor tasks including shoveling snow, chipping ice, carrying hoses, moving guns, hiking trails.
• Must be able to work outdoors in inclement weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Primarily turning on and off all on hill snowmaking equipment and monitor quality and coverage during shifts.
• Daily pre- and post-operational setup and protocol for snowmaking infrastructure.
• Provide a premium product efficiently for all Mt. guests.
• Identify hose and gun problems.
• Set up and break down trails for snowmaking needs.
• Create a fun, team-oriented atmosphere while adhering to guest and employee safety guidelines.
• Safely operate snowmobiles, ATVs, and trucks following designated trails and company policies.
• Understand snowmaking infrastructure and direction of flows and water recapturing.
• Use radios for communication and follow company protocol and radio etiquette.
• Turn guns on and off, flush and blow out guns and hoses.
• Operate all primary and satellite valving in pump houses to transfer air/water.
• Service, repair, and maintain all snowmaking guns, equipment, and infrastructure.
• Work cooperatively with peers, departments, interdepartmental contacts and vendors.
• Follow all proper documentation protocol.
• Follow all necessary safety protocol and utilize all required PPE.
• Operation and startup of pumps and compressors.
• Basic use of hand tools and small power equipment.
• Other Resort/department duties as assigned.

How the Snowmaker works with the Team:
