Job summary

Vail Resorts is hiring Snowmakers for the 2026/2027 winter season in Keystone, Colorado. Starting wage ranges from $20.00 to $23.00 per hour, with full-time hours during peak season and housing availability for eligible employees.

The role involves operating snowmaking equipment and maintaining mountaintop facilities in alpine conditions. It’s a physically demanding, outdoor position with opportunities for growth and company perks.

Qualifications

• Must be fluent in English.
• Valid driver’s license with no restrictions.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Basic hand tool knowledge required.
• Able to work extended hours outdoors in alpine conditions.

Responsibilities

• Operate all snowmaking equipment safely and efficiently.
• Operate vehicles, including snowmobiles, safely.
• Perform basic snowmaking equipment maintenance.
• Help produce snow to create optimal skiing surfaces for guests.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Summary

As a Snowmaker, you will brave the elements and help build out the mountain for the skiing guest. Snowmaking is a physically demanding and exciting job. Work with some of the most fascinating equipment on the mountain, and make it snow!

Job Specifications:

• Starting Wage: $20.00/hr - $23.00/hr

The expected pay range is $20.00/hr - $23.00/hr. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
