Job summary

Holland America Line is seeking a Data Architect to lead enterprise data architecture centered on a Snowflake-first platform. You will define canonical data models, integration patterns, and governance standards to support analytics, Customer 360, marketing activation, and AI/ML initiatives across the organization.

Based in Seattle area with an in-office role, you will guide internal teams and partners to build scalable solutions, optimize costs, and ensure security and compliance.

Qualifications

• 7 years of Architecture, Administration, and development experience in data warehousing, ETL, and BI.
• Experience with Snowflake and cloud concepts; minimum 3 years preferred.
• Experience with relational databases (Oracle, Snowflake, SQL Server, MySQL, Teradata or Netezza).
• Strong collaboration, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Define target-state architecture for Snowflake data platform and enforce POD standards.
• Enable AI/ML and advanced analytics foundations.
• Optimize platform cost, performance, and scalability.
• Define ingestion, CDC, ETL, and API patterns connecting Snowflake with source/target systems.
• Establish data governance, security, and compliance frameworks.
