Job summary

Cleveland Steel Container Corporation in Hudson, Ohio is seeking a Data Warehouse Developer to own ELT pipelines and the Snowflake data warehouse for internal analytics. The role sits on the Data & Analytics team in the Hudson corporate office, onsite.

You will design and optimize data models, ensure data reliability and integrate APIs, Python applications, and modern ELT tooling to support business decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Statistics or a related field is preferred
• 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a data engineering role
• Strong SQL proficiency and data modeling concepts for analytical workloads
• Practical experience with Snowflake or a comparable cloud data warehouse platform
• Familiarity with ELT/ETL pipeline concepts and tools; ability to learn our stack quickly
• Experience with WhereScape RED, Matillion, Airbyte, dbt, or comparable ELT automation tools
• Working knowledge of Python for data processing and scripting
• Experience with API integrations and working with REST-based data sources
• A methodical approach to troubleshooting and comfort digging into unfamiliar systems to identify root causes
• Experience using GitHub for version control

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operation, maintenance, and enhancement of ELT pipelines and the Snowflake data warehouse
• Identify and remediate pipeline failures, data quality issues, and performance bottlenecks
• Design, develop, and document new data models and transformations to meet evolving analytical needs
• Ensure data reliability, consistency, and availability for downstream consumers
• Support and extend API integration workflows built on Boomi and Python
• Maintain and contribute to custom Python applications developed by the team
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to scope and deliver new data integration initiatives
• Contribute to evaluating modern data tooling options to identify potential improvements to the current architecture
• Document systems, processes, and decisions to build institutional knowledge over time
