Job summary

Veriipro seeks an experienced Data Management Specialist to design, develop, organize, store, and analyze data across Snowflake solutions. You will participate in the full software development lifecycle and work closely with our engineering team to implement optimal data solutions.

This role requires strong SQL and Python, with hands-on Snowflake and data warehousing experience. Occasional travel is expected to Parsippany; remote work is available for East Coast candidates.

Job description

A few specific requirements from the client:

• Travel: The team meets in person at their Parsippany office once every 3-6 months. Resources should be willing to travel, with travel expenses covered by the resource.
• Location: East Coast candidates are preferred, ideally local to Parsippany, NJ. Jobs are completely remote.
• Interview Process: Two rounds of interviews, with the second round conducted in person at their Parsippany office.
• LinkedIn Profile: Candidates must have an established LinkedIn profile dating back to before 2020.

Job Description:

• Experienced Data management specialist responsible for developing, overseeing, organizing, storing, and analyzing data and data systems
• Participate in all aspects of the software development lifecycle for Snowflake solutions, including planning, requirements, development, testing, and quality assurance
• Work in tandem with our engineering team to identify and implement the most optimal solutions
• Ensure platform performance, uptime, and scale, maintaining high standards for code quality and thoughtful design
• Troubleshoot incidents, identify root causes, fix and document problems, and implement preventive measures
• Able to manage deliverables in fast paced environments
• Experience with Pharma domain and Omni-channel data is a plus.

Required Skills and Experience:

• At least 8 years of experience designing and development of data solutions in enterprise environment
• At least 5+ years' experience working on Snowflake Platform
• Strong hands-on SQL and Python development
• Experience with designing and development data warehouses in Snowflake
• Ability to diagnose and tune SQL queries - Azure Data Framework (azure data factory, etc.) knowledge is needed
• Strong hands-on experience with Orchestration Tools e.g. Airflow, Informatica, Atomic
• Good understanding on Metadata and data lineage
• Hands-on knowledge on SQL Analytical functions
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Shell scripting, Java Scripting
• Good understanding and exposure to Git, Confluence and Jira
• Good problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
