Beacon Hill Technologies is seeking a senior Snowflake Data Engineer for a remote, 6+ month contract. You will design, develop, and optimize Snowflake databases, schemas, and data models to support analytics and BI initiatives.

You will build fact and dimension tables using dimensional modeling, write complex Snowflake SQL, and tune performance while ensuring data quality and governance across environments. Collaboration with architects and stakeholders is essential.

Qualifikationen

• 5+ years of experience as a Data Engineer, Data Warehouse Engineer, Snowflake Developer, or similar role.
• Snowflake Certification required
• Strong hands-on experience developing directly within Snowflake.
• Expertise creating and managing databases, schemas, tables, views, and other Snowflake objects.
• Advanced SQL development and query optimization skills.
• Experience with data modeling methodologies, including dimensional modeling, star schemas, and fact/dimension design.
• Proven experience with Snowflake performance tuning and optimization.
• Experience working with large-scale data warehousing and analytics environments.
• Strong understanding of database design principles and best practices.

• Implement performance tuning strategies, including query optimization, clustering keys, and warehouse sizing.

• Build and maintain materialized views, streams, tasks, and other Snowflake-native features.
• Partner with data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to design scalable data solutions.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, security, and governance across Snowflake environments.
• Support ongoing enhancements to the enterprise data warehouse and analytics ecosystem.
