Job summary

Schweitzer invites applications for Snowboard Instructors to deliver quality lessons using PSIA/AASI methodologies. Instructors serve as resort ambassadors, promoting safety, fun, and guest satisfaction.

Part-time and full-time seasonal positions available; must be able to work 2-3 days (part-time) or 4-6 days (full-time) per week. Compensation ranges from $19.00 to $45.00 per hour based on certification and lesson type, with benefits depending on employment status.

Qualifications

• Excellent and professional verbal communication skills
• Ability to work in a team environment with a growth mindset
• Willingness to continue personal development in the realms of people skills, teaching skills and technical skills

Responsibilities

• Teach beginner snowboard lessons, primarily to children ages 4-17
• Provide safe, engaging lessons tailored to guest ability levels
• Create a supportive learning environment focused on confidence and progression
• Assess student abilities and provide constructive feedback
• Follow all safety protocols and mountain policies
• Attend required training and professional development opportunities
• Assist with snow shoveling, learning area setup/teardown, lesson records, incident reports, and other assigned duties
• Shovel snow
• Learning area set-up/tear-down
• Complete lesson records, incident reports and other required documentation in a timely manner
• Other duties as assigned
