Job summary

DJ's Landscape Management in St. Joseph, MI seeks an on-call Seasonal Snow Salt Truck Driver to help keep roads safe from November through April. You will operate snow removal equipment and drive the snow salt truck, working flexible hours including nights and weekends when needed.

The position offers on-call, seasonal engagement with competitive pay between $28 and $30 per hour, depending on experience and CDL license. Training is provided and MDOT support is available as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
• Valid CDL A License or CDL B w/ Air Brakes with no restrictions required.
• MDOT certification assistance provided by employer.
• Access to reliable transportation to and from work; able to work in extreme weather conditions.

Responsibilities

Duration

• Position is available for the winter season, typically from November 15 to April 15, with opportunities for full-time positions based on performance and business needs.

Requirements

• Complete all training, onboarding, snow removal safety, and route learning
• Work safely to complete snow removal to customer specifications and quality standards
• Positive attitude and willingness to work in challenging weather conditions.
• Submit details of hours, activities and materials in an accurate and timely manner
• Must have access to reliable transportation to and from work and be able to work in extreme weather conditions including subfreezing temperatures and heavy precipitation
• Must be at least 18 years of age or older
• Valid CDL A License or CDL B w/ Air Brakes with no restrictions required
• Valid MDOT (company will assist in acquiring one)
• Available for on-call work including nights, days, holidays, and weekend work as needed
