S- is hiring a Lift Operator in the Gondola/Lift Operations department with varied hours. The role focuses on safe loading, transport, and unloading of guests and staff on the lift according to operating instructions.

You will maintain load areas, communicate directions, and provide friendly service while upholding safety in all lift-related tasks. This position demands alertness, physical stamina, and the ability to work solo or with a team in a mountain environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum age: 18 years.
• Must be able to push/pull/lift 60 pounds at 6–12 second intervals for up to 10 hours per day.
• Must be able to spend the shift on their feet.
• Must maneuver on slippery/snowy surfaces.
• Must frequently use snow shovels, ramp rakes, etc.
• Must have a good safety record.
• Must be alert and in good physical condition.
• Must be responsible and able to work alone or with a team.
• Must be people oriented.
• Must provide adequate clothing for sometimes extreme climate.
• Must follow all procedures and guidelines as stated in the employee handbook.
• Must be flexible in work schedule.

Responsibilities

• Load, transport and unload guests and employees on the lift safely and efficiently according to operating instructions.
• Maintain proper load and unload areas and ramps.
• Communicate directions and basic knowledge of other mountain departments to guests.
• Provide friendly and courteous service to guests at all times.
• Diplomatically handle awkward situations as they arise.
• Check guests' tickets and safety equipment where applicable.
• Perform other duties as assigned or needed or assist in other departments.
