Job summary

Strauser Nature is seeking a Snow Crew Member for East Stroudsburg, PA. This is a flexible, on-call position for the snow season, requiring outdoor winter labor and the ability to operate basic snow removal equipment.

Responsibilities include shoveling, salting, equipment operation, and adherence to safety policies. Candidates should be able to pass a drug test and travel to the work site in adverse weather.

• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Temp Snow Removal Temporary &/or Winter Manual Labor East Stroudsburg, PA, US

A Snow Crew Memberis a flexible schedule position, on call as needed. Snow shovelers are responsible for snow removal with either a manual shovel or snow removal equipment.

As a Snow Shoveler you must be able to perform the following essential functions of the job:

• Attend meetings at the Branch, if requested.
• Perform snow removal with a manual shovel.
• Spread salt as requested.
• Remove snow from storefronts using awning rakes.
• Operate small snow blowers.
• Operate walk behind snow sweepers.
• Monitor weather correspondence and be aware of upcoming snow events.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

POSITION REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to pass a drug and alcohol test

Must be able to drive to the work site or branch in adverse weather conditions

Must be able to move and/or lift up to 60 pounds consistently

WORK CONDITIONS

Employees performing this job should be able and willing to drive or travel locally, if needed. Schedules for this position may vary and may require flexibility to work extended hours. Potential work hours during the snow season include nighttime, weekends, and holidays to participate in snow removal activities. This position will require working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions including rain, snow, ice, sun, and extreme cold.
