Job summary

MetroSpec is seeking an Engineering Technician to design, analyze, build, and test tooling for production floors. The role requires hands-on work and understanding of SMT terminology and electronic manufacturing.

You will gain experience with tooling, prototyping, mechanical assembly, testing, and data collection while contributing to new-to-the-world lighting products. We offer excellent pay and benefits, including substantial bonuses and fully paid medical coverage, with profit sharing

Qualifications

• Experience with SMT tooling and electronic manufacturing processes.
• Ability to prototype, test, and document results.
• Familiarity with data collection and basic testing tools.
• Experience with PCB testing and fault diagnosis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain SMT equipment including paste printer, pick and place, AOI, and reflow systems.
• Assist in tooling and automation projects on the production floor.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment; work with engineering on improvements.
