Job summary

Lippert Components, Inc. is seeking a full-time SMT assembler to join our global manufacturing operation in Sterling Heights, Michigan. You will set up, operate and maintain SMT equipment, load components, and ensure precise placement on circuit boards while meeting production goals.

Qualifications

• Set up, operate and monitor SMT equipment (pick-and-place, printers, reflow ovens, laser etcher).
• Load components and solder paste onto machines per production specs.
• Adjust machine settings for accurate component placement on boards.
• Perform setups and changeovers for different runs, load programs and feeders.
• Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of SMT equipment.
• Troubleshoot minor issues and escalate complex problems to technicians.
• Follow safety protocols including PPE and handling of solder paste.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area for safety and efficiency.
• Must be able to lift and maneuver weights over 50 pounds.
• Possess strong problem solving skills.

Work Environment

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are typically Sunday - Tuesday, 6a - 6p and Wednesday 6a -12:30p.

Minimal to no travel required.

Required Education and Experience

1. Minimum of a high school education.

1. Manufacturing/industry experience.
