Job summary

Prescient Edge, based in Huntsville, AL, is seeking an experienced security specialist to support CAP/SAP/SAR program protection for USSPACECOM. You will assist the SSO in controlling SCI access, certifying visitors, and delivering mandated security indoctrinations and training.

The role requires developing, implementing, and integrating program protection requirements, reducing threats of espionage, and training staff on CAP/SAP policies.

Qualifications

• 20 years of experience in the labor category, with recent experience in the last 2 years.
• Master’s degree in a related field from an accredited university.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Special Security Officer to control access to SCI facilities and certify SCI visitor clearances.
• Conduct SCI security briefings, indoctrinations, debriefings, and training on classified material for SSO-related topics.
• Implement CAP/SAP/SAR program protection for USSPACECOM and reduce risks of espionage and unauthorized disclosure.
• Develop and integrate CAP program protection requirements for essential information, operations, and systems.
• Train and manage personnel on CAP/SAP requirements and processes.
• Conduct audits and policy research related to classified materials and SCIFs.

• Security clearance required TS/SCI with a CI POLY or the ability to obtain one. Job Requirements Description:
• Assist the Special Security Officer (SSO) to ensure control of access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and SCI Facilities (SCIFs); certifying and receiving SCI visitor clearances / accesses; conducts SCI security briefings, indoctrinations, debriefings, training on classified material / SSO-related material and topics; obtains signed nondisclosure agreements; and provides guidance and assistance for processing SCI position and eligibility requests for assigned military, Government and contractor personnel.
• Serves as a Controlled Access Program (CAP) security specialist for lifecycle program protection management for USSPACECOM and implements protocols to actively reduce the chances for espionage, terrorism, and threats of unauthorized disclosure or compromise of information or material considered vital to command mission interests, national defense, or national security.
• Develops, implements, and integrates CAP program protection requirements supporting USSPACECOM essential program information, operations, technologies, and systems. As the CAP / Special Access Program (SAP) / Special Access Required (SAR) subject matter expert, provides detailed knowledge of DoD, IC, services, and mission partners' CAP / SAP / SAR policies, plans, and procedures.
• Recommends and executes "cradle to grave" security and program protection as it relates to USSPACECOM operations and equities.
• Trains and manages the daily development of associated personnel on individual CAP / SAP program protection requirements and processes as directed.
• Provides all CAP / SAP / SAR security operations, analysis decisions, and recommendations in appropriate formats to meet DoD and USSPACECOM requirements.
• Other duties may include but are not limited to: audits of classified material, inspections of classified material storage facilities / SCIFs / containers, and researching and preparing classified material-related policy and management recommendations, reports, and recommendations. Desired Experience:
• 20 years of experience relevant to the specific labor category with at least a portion of the experience within the last 2 years. Desired Education:
• Master’s degree in an area related to the labor category from a college or university accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Location:
